The pump has a low voltage power supply for safety and is provided with a 10 foot power lead for ease of placement. And with a low power consumption of just 2 Watts, you won't even notice it on your electricity bill. No plumbing is required as the whole unit is self-contained, just keep the bottom bowl topped-up to the clearly marked 'maximum' level with cold tap water on a daily basis. Never let the water level drop below the 'minimum' mark. The fountain has a generous water capacity of 1.6 gallons making it ideal for even large dogs or up to nine cats. Maintenance is simple as the bowls are dishwasher safe and the replacement cartridge easily slides into position.
